We probably ran about 3/4 mi of the total 1 1/2 miles. Van had to stop to check his mail at the end of the street and I was ready to stop anyway!
Sometimes I think figuring out what causes your body to react differently while running is like some kind of black magic! Here are some possibilities:
- Need new shoes
- Shoes too new
- Need to drink more water before running
- Drank too much water before running
- Didn't get proper energy supply for running
- Ate too much before running
- Ate too soon before running
- Mercury and Venus aligned poorly for running
- Too hot
- Too cold
- Too many things on mind
- Need distraction in head
- Over-doing it
- Under-doing it
- Poor motivation
- Bad horoscope

Totally agree with the black magic during running and then again after running and how the body reacts. I am unsure of what to do next to get in shape because I am afraid my foot will be in great pain again. And this time will I pull the tendon enough to fracture the bone. How do you know?
Additions to the list:
- Not enough milk, lactic acid
- Pavement slants too much
Okay that was a short addition. I just hit a blank wall.
you hit a wall.
ha! that's another one.
wow, very true, and that was not even planned.
It is crazy how the body reacts, both during and after runs. Earlier this year, my wall was at 10 minutes. One night, I ran for 21 mins or so without thinking twice about it. Who knows what causes that. I've been reading about your progress and you're doing great! Keep it up! It'll get a little easier as it gets cooler out. Are you doing the Komen 5k next weekend?
I am strongly considering it Chris. I'd like to see how this weeks running goes. My brother said that there would be a lot of people walking so it really wouldn't be a big deal for me to do intervals.
Do they do the 5ks everywhere on that day?
Yeah, in my experience, there are a lot of people that walk 5Ks so it wouldn't be a big thing at all for you to walk intervals.
No, the 5Ks are different days. The one in Cincy was in early September. They're scattered throughout the summer, I believe.
